Darren Tellier

Bio

Darren’s interest in Chinese Medicine was piqued was studying philosophy at the University of Alberta. Eventually his program of study led him to a course in Chinese philosophy, and there began the journey towards Chinese Medicine. Darren graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1999, and thereafter established private practice in Edmonton, Alberta. During the past 15 years Darren has operated his practice in a variety of clinical settings, big and small, and currently operates a multi-practitioner clinic along with a business partner. With a love for herbal medicine, he has always maintained his own granular herb dispensary so he can create and modify prescriptions as required.
Clinically, Darren has a special interest in stress and anxiety related disorders such as burn out syndrome, PTSD, and depression.
Outside of the clinic, Darren has served as the President of the (former) Acupuncture Society of Alberta, Executive Director of the College & Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta, and is currently a full-time Assistant Professor in the MacEwan University Acupuncture program.
